Stanislav Iosifovich Rostotsky ((ロシア語:Станисла́в Ио́сифович Росто́цкий); 21 April 1922, Rybinsk – 10 August 2001, Vyborg) was a Russian film director, the recipient of the two USSR State Prizes and a Lenin Prize. == Life == Rostotsky served in the Red Army during the World War II. After the war he joined the VGIK where he studied with Grigori Kozintsev. He also appeared in several films as an actor. He was named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1974.
